(여기서 ‘인간은 사회적 동물’이라는 명제가 도출된다.) 이때 정치적 동물은 언어를 사용한다. 즉 정치적 인간은 말을 사용하여 유익한 것과 유해한 것, 옳고 그른 것 등을 밝힌다. 정치적 태도란 공동체 안에서 의견이 나뉘고 분쟁이 있을 때 이를 물리적 힘이나 폭력에 의해서가 아니라 말과 설득을 통해 다룬다는 뜻이기도 하다. 국가는 발생의 순서로는 개인에 뒤지지만, 국가는 ‘자족’을 실현하여 인간의 삶을 구현해줄 수 있는 공동체라는 점에서 개인이나 가정에 선행한다. 만일 몸 전체가 파괴된다면 손이나 발은 존재할 수 없는 것처럼 국가(polis)는 자연적으로 존재하는 공동체의 완성이며 최고 단계다. 그렇다면 정치는 왜 생겼으며 그것의 역할은 무엇일까? 모든 공동체는 어떤 선(善)한 목적을 가지고 성립되는 것처럼 정치의 목적은 최고의 선을 추구하며 인간을 인격적인 존재로 완성시키는 것이다. 그래서 국가의 이념은 이미 개인·가정 및 촌락 공동체의 생성을 결정하는 데 참여한다. 각 구성원 간에 이익관계를 정리하고, 부를 분배하고, 국가 안에서 좀 더 나은 삶을 살 수 있게 해주는 역할이 필요한 것이다. 정체의 형태는 그 사회의 성격에 따라 왕정(1인), 귀족정체(소수), 민주정체(다수) 중에서 선택되어야 한다. 반면 사적인 이익을 목표로 하는 타락된 정체는 한 사람이 통치하는 참주(僭主)정체, 몇몇 부자들이 통치하는 과두(寡頭)정체, 재산이 없는 다수가 공동으로 통치하는 ‘빈민정체’로 세분된다. 1인 지배라도 공동 이익을 지향하면 올바른 정치이고, 다수의 지배라도 소수의 이익을 지향하면 잘못된 정치다. 아리스토텔레스는 군주정체를 가장 이상적이라고 생각했지만 실현되기 어렵다고 생각했다. 현실적으로 가능한 정체는‘법치적 민주주의’이다. 이것은 사실상 중간계급에 의한 통치와 동일하며 어느 정도는 과두정체와 민주정체의 혼합 형태이다. 에서 중용의 의미 모든 국가에는 세 개의 계급이 있다. 매우 부유한 사람들, 매우 가난한 사람들, 그리고 그 사이에 존재하는 중간계급. 아리스토텔레스의 에서 중용이란 넘치지도 모자라지도 않는 상태로, 두 극단의 기계적인 중간이 아니라 균형 잡힌 선택을 의미한다. 지배 형태가 어떠하든 정체의 최선의 형태는 권력의 중심이 중간계급의 손에 있는 사회다. 여기서 중간계급이란 재산이 너무 적지도 너무 많지도 않은 시민 계급을 가리킨다. 아리스토텔레스에 따르면 폴리스에 살고 있는 시민이라면 기본적으로 어떤 목적이(또는 행위가) 옳은 것인지 그른 것인지를 따져 묻고 판단할 수 있는 능력이 있어야 한다. 그리고 좋은 시민은 그런 능력을 바탕으로 폴리스에 필요한 공동선을 만드는 데 참여하는 사람을 의미한다. 행복을 추구하는 국가 행복이라는 관념은 오늘날 개인적인 것으로 치부되고 있지만 아리스토텔레스에 의하면, 인생의 궁극적인 목적은 ‘행복’이고 행복한 인간으로 성장하기 위해서는 공동체가 필수적이라고 말한다. 인간이란 결코 혼자서는 살아갈 수 없는 정치적 동물이기 때문이다. 여기서 행복이란 주관적 감정 상태가 아니라 인간의 자연스러운 능력을 탁월함에 일치하게 발휘하는 것을 의미한다. 행복은 긴 시간 동안 반복적 습관을 통해 얻을 수 있다. 이런 성품과 관련된 훈련 과정은 가족 내에서는 충분하지 않고 국가의 ‘법률’과 ‘교육’을 통해 이루어질 수 있다. 아리스토텔레스는 인생의 틀을 ‘~ 위하여’ 라는 구조로 되어 있다고 보고 인간이 하는 모든 일은 행복을 추구하기 위한 수단으로 보았다. 정치적 정의와 공교육 폴리스는 정치적 정의(to polkitikon dikaion)를 실현한 공동체다. 그러나 정치적 정의를 실현해야 하는 관직에 봉사하는 정치가들이 현실적으로 다 훌륭할 수는 없다. 그렇기 때문에 아리스토텔레스는 한 인간의 훌륭함과 전체를 구성하는 시민들의 훌륭함을 만들어가는 것을 교육의 목적으로 보았다. 이런 의미에서 아리스토텔레스는 교육의 ‘평등성’을 강조하는 선구자인 셈이다. 그 교육의 담당자가 바로 입법가요 정치가다. 교육을 소홀히 하면 그 나라의 정치 질서에 나쁜 영향을 미치며, 모든 정치적 성격의 능력이나 기술은 그것을 행사하기까지 어느 정도 예비 훈련과 습관을 쌓아야 하기에 입법자는 청소년 교육에 관심을 기울여야 한다고 했다. 마지막 8권에서는 교육할 과목과 목적, 어느 정도까지 가르쳐야 하는지가 상세히 다루어진다. 예컨대 음악의 양식이나 리듬은 자연적인 감미로움과 함께 영혼과의 친화력을 가지고 있으며 다른 사람의 연주를 평가할 수 있는 능력을 갖출 정도의 음악 교육을 받아야 하며 아름다움을 감상하기 위해서도 그리는 법을 배워둬야 한다고 밝히고 있다. Title Page Comment Release Save Cancel Tag Save Cancel Possession data arrangement request not in bookshelf reserve view.search.place.output   Additional data Abstract Table of Contents External related data 시계열 예측 방법은 (1) 통계적 방법, (2) 혼합적(hybrid) 방법, (3) 딥러닝 기반 방법으로 구분할 수 있다. 대표적인 통계적 방법은 시계열 분해, ARIMA, VARIMA 등이 있고, 혼합적 방법은 통계적 방법과 딥러닝 기반 방법을 혼합한 시계열 예측 기법으로 Prophet, Neural Prophet 등이 대표적이다. 딥러닝을 기반으로 하는 시계열 모형은 딥러닝의 3대 아키텍처인 MLP, RNN, CNN을 근간으로 시계열의 예측력을 획기적으로 향상시키고 정밀화하였으며, 대표적으로 BlockRNN, TCN, N-HiTs, Transformer, DLinear, TiDE, TFT 등이 있다. 저자는 지난 30여 년간 강단에서 통계적 시계열 모형을 강의해 왔고, 최근 7년여 동안은 머신러닝, 딥러닝, 강화학습, 그리고 XAI(explainable AI)를 강의해 왔기 때문에 딥러닝을 이용한 고수준 시계열 모형의 출현은 시간 문제라고 생각해 왔다. 특히, 최근 3~4년 동안 발표된 딥러닝 시계열 모형은 양적으로나 질적으로나 놀라운 성과를 보여주고 있다. 정밀한 시계열 예측은 금융, 물류, marketing, 인사, 경제계획, 의사결정 등에 결정적인 역할을 한다. 대형마트에는 수만 개의 item들이 있으며, 이 item들의 판매량은 실시간으로 기록되고 있다. 이런 데이터를 이용하여 item들의 판매량을 정확하게 예측하면 생산, 분배, 인력 수급, 배치 및 상품진열, 선택적 promotion, 광고 등에 대한 의사결정에 중요한 정보가 된다. 이러한 형태의 데이터를 multiple 데이터라고 하는데, 각 item의 시계열 관측치가 많을 뿐만 아니라 item의 수도 매우 큰 big data이므로 딥러닝을 기반으로 하는 시계열 모형의 적용은 필수적이다. 그러나 딥러닝 시계열 모형을 적용하기 위해서는 딥러닝에 대한 깊이 있는 사전지식과 tensorflow나 pytorch와 같은 프로그램 언어의 습득도 해야 하는 커다란 장애요인이 존재한다. 이를 회피하기 위해 저자는 간단하게 딥러닝 모형을 적용하고 응용할 수 있도록 Darts와 Neural Prophet이라는 라이브러리를 이용하였다. 저자는 시계열 예측에 있어서 딥러닝을 기반으로 한 시계열 모형과 혼합형 시계열 모형이 빠르게 기존의 통계적 시계열 모형을 대체할 것으로 생각한다. 라이브러리로 인해 딥러닝 모형을 통계적 시계열 모형보다 더 쉽게 적용할 수 있고, 대규모 시계열 데이터의 처리능력과 예측정밀도가 통계적 시계열 모형보다 훨씬 우수하며 이에 더해 예측 결과에 대한 이유와 설명변수의 기여도를 설명할 수 있게 되었기 때문이다. 이 책은 총 30여 개의 시계열 모형과 시계열 패턴 탐색으로 시계열을 예측하는 방법을 적용하고 응용할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 하나의 모형에 2개 이상의 초모수나 모형 가정을 선택하면, 최소한 60여 개의 모형을 주어진 시계열 데이터에 적용할 수 있다는 의미가 된다. 이 책의 내용을 숙지하면 보다 우수한 시계열 예측을 위한 모형설정, 예측 방법, 예측 결과 해석 방법을 습득하게 되며, 하나의 시계열 데이터에 수십개의 모형을 적합하여 만든 자신만의 앙상블 시계열 모형을 구축할 수 있는 능력을 가지게 된다. 좋은 책을 만들기 위해 노력하였지만 부족한 부분이 있을 수 있다. 이 점은 양해를 바라며 출간 후 나올 수 있는 수정사항 등은 자유아카데미 홈페이지(www.freeaca.com) 자료실에 제공할 예정이니 참고하기를 바란다. 끝으로, 이 책의 개념도를 그려주고 교정을 도와준 박진세 군의 노고에 감사를 전하고, 항상 응원하고 격려하는 사랑하는 가족에게도 감사의 마음을 전한다.
